All races are open to those horses that are West Virginia Bred or Sired and have been nominated to the West Virginia Breeders Classics.

On October 18, 2008 the greatest night of racing West Virginia has ever seen, for West Virginia bred and or sired horses, will kick off with seven $125,000.00 races leading up to the $500,000.00 Filly and Mare race before the feature $500,000.00 West Virginia Breeders Classic.

The West Virginia Breeders Classics will offer a total of $2,175,000.00 in 2008.

In addition to the $1,875,000.00 purse money for the nine Classics races, the six prep races have had their purses increased to $50,000.00 for each race. The races are:
